Andrea Reynolds, CEO. _ Andrea was a Manager in KPMG working on audits, MBO’s and turnaround programs for businesses in the airline and manufacturing divisions. In October 2005, she and her business partner, Lee McCormack founded Oculas Group, which specialises in the design and engineering of new products and technologies. Oculas’ first product was developed via an engineering partnership with McLaren. Key role is Business Development, Fundraising and Financial Management.
Peter Bailey, Technical Director. _ Peter has been developing and delivering world class technology into global leading manufacturers for over 30 years, including a 6 axis milling machine for SNK in Japan which achieves world record material removing rates, a hexapod machine for Kingsbury machine tool manufacturers, a patented multi-storey removable building system for Specialist Structures Ltd among many others. Peter has won numerous awards including a SMART award for his design of a haptic CAD controller, “Award for Outstanding Building Structure” from IFA and “Overall Best Product” Award from the UK Textiles Assocaition.Key role is Product Design and Development.
Mike Hannaker, Operations Director. _ Over 35 years Mike has successfully prototyped and commercialised products within the plastics and composites industry as well as locating reliable off shore operations for clients. He founded and has successfully led Circle Plastics Ltd, a plastics moulding company as well as producing and commercialising computer aided design software and other products. Key role is Operations Planning and Manufacturing Management.
Dave Barott, Engineering Director . _Over two decades Dave successfully built up and eventually sold his engineering business to Electro Mechanical Engineers, Sidcup in 2002. Since then Dave has acted as an Engineering Consultant to Sidcup’s largest customer. Key role is Product Development and build and sourcing manufacturing solutions for key components.
Dave Allan, Commercial Director. _ Dave founded and grew The People Group, a large recruitment business focusing on executive and management placements in Ireland. Dave successfully sold the People Group to Newcourt Plc in 2007. Since then he has been acting as a Commercial Consultant to a number of businesses as well as looking for high growth opportunities. Key role isCommercial Development and Sales.
Lee McCormack, Creative Director. _ Lee has been a successful Industrial Designer for over 12 years with key roles in Lotus, BMW and Paramount Pictures among others. He has successfullydesigned and taken to market a number of products worldwide. Lee, in partnership with McLaren designed and engineered the first product to market for Oculas. The product has received critical acclaim from over 200 publications worldwide and is currently being exhibited at the Science Museum in London. Key role is Marketing and Brand Strategy.
Alex Slocum, Mechanical Engineer. _ Alex is Professor of Precision Engineering at MIT. Alex has won numerous machine and instrument design awards and has been a cofounder of several successful machinery companies. Alex has over 6 dozen patents, many which have been successfully licensed or cover key aspects of currently produced machinery in many different fields. Alex’s key role is to assist in the development and testing of innovations for Kinetic Harvest.
